Summer-y Rain, Will it Blend?, Kittens and Cows

Tomorrow is summer solstice and so far we've had very little in the way of summery weather here, ...although, today looks like a good one here in the valley.
The air is tinged with the aroma of spotty sunshine and damp cedar. 
This day is promising to be mild mannered and calm, in weather and activities.. I love a day like this. Inertia keeps it's distance and I feel as though I can actually accomplish something other than changing the channels on the tv.
 I find the cool air invigorating. I can't properly explain myself in a hot climate...if the temperature climbs into the high 20's, I become a babbling, sweaty, googly eyed, stumbling moron...okay, maybe it's not really THAT bad, but, like a true B.C.'er, I thrive in damp and overcast situations... Much like a mushroom....or a hunk of velvety moss....

                                                         

                                                               

Apropos of nothing at all....some of you are probably wondering what would happen if you put a dozen glow-sticks in a supercharged blender and pressed 'puree'...am I right? Well! Wonder no more!

                                          That's impressive! I hear you all saying...."Now we know that glow sticks will blend....but what about  hockey pucks?"

This is reminiscent of the David Letterman show's 'Will It Float?'

     Sorry, I really don't know what brought on that 'blending/floating craze'! Sometimes I have the attention span of a kitten...
...speaking of kittens...check this out! I don't know if it's the short legs, the bent ears or the huge, innocent eyeballs, but this is one of the cutest things I've ever seen!

Of course, a kitten THAT cute will cost ya....the cuter the kitten, the higher the price...

...and the bigger the animal the higher the price...that cute kitten may be expensive, but it's probably a bargain when compared to the price of a horse...

...but sometimes a kitten, no matter how cute, is a poor substitute for a horse.

Can you picture kittens all harnessed up, ready to plow the back forty?!  Or people making a bundle at the kitten races.....free kitten rides for the kids at the local fair...kittens marching, in formation, to loud bugle music...

Yes, I suppose sometimes only a horse will do...unless your horse is a cow...

....maybe that's what we all need in life....a good riding cow! (Insert your own joke here.)
