Good Morning Everyone! Today FINALLY looks as if it's going to be a great day weather-wise here. Ever since the start of this month it's been chilly and raining...a real 'Junuary'! And now, as I sit here at the computer I see actual sun beams! At least I think I do...my eyes sting..they're not used to the light...
Onward...
I saw a thing the other day that made me kind of cringe...did any of you see that piece about the guy that turned his dead cat into a helicopter?! I guess what happened is, the cat (Orville) got hit by a car and died...so this guy (he's a Dutch artist) did what any grieving pet owner would do...he put his beloved Orville in the freezer for six months while he pondered on what to do with him....finally, he decided that the only decent thing to do, the thing Orville would want above all else, would be to send him to a taxidermist and have him turned into a helicopter....I have never seen anything like this outside of a cartoon...here's a little video of it. If you haven't seen it yet, be warned...it shows graphic footage of a dead cat flying...
I wonder what those cows are thinking? Probably something along the lines of, "Man, we've been eating the wrong kind of grass!"
This is the kind of thing that would drive birds insane...not to mention other cats...they'll be in alleys, talking about it..."OMG, did you SEE what they did to Orville?!"
We'll have cats on Valium all over the place...cows in group therapy....birds not being taking seriously by other birds...."I SWEAR to GOD it was a FLYING CAT! You NEVER believe me...I'm moving OUT!"
On that note, I'm going to leave you to get out and enjoy the day....it may start raining again any second now, so I need to get out while the gettin's good.
Here's a song for you to enjoy, or not...
Peace everyone and have a fabulous day!

hi Eve hope you are having quite a good weekend.A dead cat as a helicopter--kinda weird but I like it!
Not sure about the helicopter cat, but I like Marianne Faithful. She sure has changed since that sweet voiced young girl that came on the scene in the 60s. Maybe some hard living, booze, and smoking something intervened in the years since, but the voice is unique and her recordings since the 80s have had good production values.

I feel sorry for that artist's wife. Yikes!
Hey Ron!...at first I was really put off by the helicopter cat..and then, when I saw the video I thought it was pretty frigging funny..still, it's not something I would do with my cat...but can you imagine how you could scare people with that?! It could be a lot of fun!
Hey Lee! Marianne Faithfull is one of my favourite female singers..her voice does have that 'hard living' quality to it..I really like the recording she did of 'Tears Go By' when she was older..her voice has so much depth now.
Hey Eve!..hahaha! He'll stick a propeller in the top of her head and turn her into 'Fraulinecopter'..or whatever they say in Holland..
I know I shouldn't... but I loved the "Cat Copter"!
All the best.
Carl (The 'Guide)
Hey Carl..the Cat Copter is definatley a one of a kind thing eh? If I could borrow it for a day I'd scare the hell out of a few people on the third floor! lol! ..have a great day!
'Dead Cat Flying" - wasn't that a movie starring Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon? :)
Hey Pam! ..lol!! I think it was! 1987 right?!
